By purchasing a scanner, you can get rid of the hassle of running to the mechanic every time to reset the codes. Some mechanics also offer to reset your check engine lights for free as they only need five minutes to do so.
It’s quite simple to uncover the error code associated with the flashing check engine light and doing so will help you understand the issue more clearly. For this purpose, you first need to insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position without starting your Jeep.
Once done, push the key in the ignition further and turn it to the ON and OFF positions three times consecutively. Complete the last cycle on the ON position and let the key push in the ignition. On doing so, the light of your jeep’s dashboard will turn on and you’d be able to see six dashes on the odometer.
